Our Story...
Aylesbeare Village Hall is situated on the northern edge of Aylesbeare Village and is conveniently
positioned for local community use. It is also well located for people who travel from farther afield,
with good road links in all directions.
The hall was built with the help of generous donations from the local community during 1922 and opened in 1923, and has been sympathetically extended over recent years. It is designed and constructed in an English “Arts and Crafts” style.
The original architecture continues to be admired to this day, and for this reason we are very keen to preserve the building and its period features for future generations, while always looking to enhance and update the internal facilities available within the hall to meet current user expectations.
The hall accommodates a wide range of activities, meetings and social groups. In addition to
family parties, wakes, wedding receptions, conferences and business hire etc.
The hall stands on a site of approximately 3/4 of an acre , has parking for approximately 15 cars at the front of the building, with the other three sides laid to grass.
Our aim is always to provide a safe and well equipped venue where local people can come together for
a variety of activities.
